The Spoons’ hit Nova Heart is featured on disc one of ICON: Best of Canada – The 1980’s, released in 2014 by Universal Canada. The first single from the band’s 1982 full-length, Arias and Symphonies, Nova Heart was one of The Spoons’ biggest hits and their first to crack Canada’s Top 40 singles chart.

The Spoons share the two-disc, decade-spanning album with Canadian icons like Rush and Robbie Robertson as well as fellow seminal new wave acts like Martha and the Muffins. Another Ready Records’ artist, Blue Peter, is featured alongside The Spoons on disc one of the compilation. Blue Peter’s 1983 hit Don’t Walk Past appears directly following Nova Heart. Both The Spoons’ gold-certified Arias and Symphonies album and the 30th Anniversary Nova Heart single are available for purchase in the Ready Records store.
